Trevor Moss, Racine
Trevor’s mom, is a diabetic and while she is quite aware of how to monitor her condition, one day she found herself in trouble. Feeling weak, she made her way down the stairs to the kitchen to get some juice. But she didn’t make it to the kitchen. While on the stair ledge, Trevor’s mom slumped over. Trevor ran to her side. He tried to get his mom to speak but she was too far into her diabetic episode to respond. Fortunately, Trevor’s mom had taught him to call 911 in a situation like this. Reacting instantly, Trevor first tried calling his Grandma, but she was at work, so he dialed 911 and explained the situation. In little time, a rescue crew arrived and Trevor filled them in on his mother’s condition. “I’m glad my mom taught me about 911,” Trevor says proudly, “I’m glad I saved my mom’s life because I love her so much.”
