The keen eye and knowledge of CPR from Grafton City worker Jack Knetter saved one man’s life this past fall. Knetter and his crew were out working, clearing the streets of leaves before winter set in. Jack noticed the cart, something amiss, and saw the man lying in the leaves. “He was not breathing,” said Knetter. Finding no pulse, Knetter quickly called for help and began performing CPR. Two-minutes went by – and for anyone who has done CPR and knows how crucial every second is –two minutes is a long time. Staying with the compressions, Knetter finally got a breath of air from the man. At that point, Knetter knew he had a chance.
