A voluntary board of directors and a paid management team provide leadership for carrying out the work of the Red Cross. Approximately 35 individuals serve on the board. These individuals, on behalf of the Chapter Membership and the Board of Governors, ensure that the American Red Cross in Southeastern Wisconsin does what it says it will do and avoids unacceptable actions and situations.

Management consists of four officers and a team of program directors. Tracey Sparrow, who serves as chief executive officer, provides overall leadership to the chapter. An operations leadership team, consisting of Carolyn Haight and Jeff Seider is responsible for day-to-day operational issues. Kathy Fargo maintains oversight of the organization's public support activities, covering both financial development and public relations.
