The American Red Cross is the largest and most diverse service organization in the United States, having touched the life of virtually every citizen in some way through an array of humanitarian services. We are also a unique organization. We have the advantages of a community-based agency meeting differing community needs, while at the same time having the strength only a national organization can possess.

Our organization has a rich history of service in the Milwaukee area. Established in 1916, the American Red Cross in Southeastern Wisconsin continues to fulfill its mission by providing programs and services to meet the specific needs of our community. Providing leadership to those charged with carrying out the work, is a voluntary board of directors and a paid management team.

The American Red Cross receives funding from eight area United Way agencies with the United Way of Greater Milwaukee being the largest single source of funding for our organization. A yearly reporting of our financial statement is available on-line or may be obtained by calling 414-342-8680.
