Disaster Preparedness Presentation

The American Red Cross in Southeastern Wisconsin offers Be Red Cross Ready presentations to groups and organizations throughout their nine county jurisdiction. These presentations offer information on how you can be prepared for disasters and other emergencies through our Be Red Cross Ready program, which includes three steps: Get a kit, Make a Plan and Be informed. Prepare your family, church and community today! Use our contact form to request a presentation or brochure.

 First Aid Service Team

The First Aid Service Team is a group of volunteers trained in first aid. These volunteers staff community events throughout the year, providing immediate and temporary care to people who become sick or injured.

Fire Safety Alert

Fire Safety Alert is an educational program in which volunteers provide fire safety information and fire alarms to people in neighborhoods that have been affected by fire. The program was developed in response to a deadly Milwaukee fire that claimed the lives of 19 people. Seventeen of those individuals were children.

School Health Program

The goal of the School Health Program is to support the safety and care of school-aged children and to train volunteer and paid staff in schools in first aid that focuses on the care of sick and injured children.

Scouting Programs

Readyman and Jrs to the Rescue are first aid programs customized for Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts ages 10 to 12. Anyone who enjoys working with kids can be trained to teach scouts basic first aid through these programs.

 Vial of Life

The Vial of Life program is a free service for Waukesha County residents 60 years of age or older, or those with special health problems. Participating residents place emergency medical information in a vial inside their refrigerator where rescue workers can quickly find the lifesaving information.
