We need you! Thanks to the efforts of thousands of volunteers, the Red Cross is able to help people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies in southeastern Wisconsin. This year, join this elite group by making a resolution to help your community by committing to one of these volunteering opportunities:

Ambassador: Become a voice in your community. Help us spread the word about preparing for emergencies such as fires and inclement weather. Give presentations to children, adults and seniors at various organizations about the three Be Red Cross Ready steps: Get a Kit, Make a Plan and Be Informed.

Blood Drive volunteers: We need you to help run a blood drive! Help with registration and refreshments at a local site. 

Disaster Action Team: Don your helmet, boots and jacket this new year and help those affected by a fire. DAT members respond to disasters, most commonly fires, providing food and shelter to people in their county.

Driver: These dedicated volunteers like to hit the road! Help someone who can’t get to their medical appointment by becoming a Red Cross driver in Racine County.

Fire Safety Alert: Here’s a way to make your community safer. A few Saturdays a month, this group of volunteers heads into neighborhoods affected by recent fires to distribute fire safety information and smoke detectors and to check existing smoke detectors have batteries.

First Aid Service Team: Provide first aid at community events! This team of dedicated volunteers staffs approximately 80 events throughout southeastern Wisconsin in the summer and fall.

Clerical: Maybe data entry is more your speed, or maybe you are speedy at data entry! We offer a flexible schedule at two different locations. We couldn’t do our work without your behind-the-scenes help!
