When a disaster strikes and shelter and food is needed for those affected, the American Red Cross in Southeastern Wisconsin calls their Mass Care volunteers into action---at any hour, day or night. Now, thanks to the exceptional generosity of Potawatomi Bingo and Casino, the American Red Cross was recently able to thank this great group of volunteers for their dedication on March 13. Potawatomi graciously opened their doors and called on their chefs and staff to host a marvelous dinner and reception for these dedicated men and women. In addition to providing the site and excellent food, Potawatomi also went one step further, as General Manager Mike Goodrich thanked the American Red Cross during the program for their many efforts to help others in responding to disaster and for all the safety and training programs. American Red Cross Chapter Chair Chief Wentlandt was also on hand to thank these volunteers for their time and commitment, noting that they are often first on the scene when disaster strikes. He also expressed thanks to Potawatomi for generously hosting the volunteer recognition event. Now it is the American Red Cross' turn to say thank you. The American Red Cross in Southeastern Wisconsin and their Mass Care volunteers extend their sincere appreciation to Potawatomi Bingo and Casino.
