Image People’s homes were damaged or destroyed. They needed help.

That’s all Red Cross Disaster Services needed to know, and volunteers flocked into Kenosha County after tornadoes hit on January 7. With assistance from the West Bend Chapter, Red Cross volunteers were able to assist the residents of the 60 buildings damaged or destroyed. They distributed more than a 1,000 snacks and meals, opened shelters, provided client casework and mental health services and passed out hundreds of storage bins, gloves and other items local residents needed to clean up their belongings.

Now those same Red Cross volunteers need your help for future disasters so they can assist members of our community who need immediate emergency needs when a disaster strikes. They need more readily trained volunteers who are willing to help... they need you.

Jump start your Red Cross career by taking the introductory course, Fulfilling Our Mission: Translating Your Compassion into Community Action:
