Ever wonder if your life jackets or safety wings are fitted correctly? Did you know there’s a proper way to enter and exit a boat? Would you be ready to provide shoreline assistance to someone in the water?

The American Red Cross in Southeastern Wisconsin wants to reach adults and kids like you who want to know the answers to these important questions on June 14 from 1-3 p.m. at Bradford Beach.

Laacke & Joys will partner with the Red Cross to educate children and families about water safety. There will be stations where adults and children will get to practice safe water skills, and instructors will be available to introduce participants to new skills. For more information on the event, make sure you visit friendsofbradfordbeach.org.

In addition, cool t-shirts will also be available for sale, and participants can also buy tickets so they can win Red Cross and Laacke & Joys products!

So come on out, enjoy the sun and sand and learn some very important skills for your summer fun!

The American Red Cross in Southeastern Wisconsin relies on donations of time and money so they can provide relief to victims of disasters and help people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies in Dodge, Kenosha, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Walworth and Waukesha counties. To donate your time, please visit our Volunteer page. Financial donations can be made online through our secure contribution site.
