Ten days, 100 volunteers and 600 rubber ducks later, the American Red Cross would like to thank everyone who visited our booth and made our first year at the Wisconsin State Fair a success.

From the first exciting day to the last, teams from local corporations staffed our booth in the Exposition Center, offering information about the Red Cross and selling ducks for the Red Cross Rubber Duck Regatta, a fundraiser at the Milwaukee Ale House on August 29.

In all, the Red Cross raised more than $3,000, thanks to all you fairgoers and dedicated employees from these great companies:

  • UPS
  • Rockwell Automation
  • WE Energies
  • AO Smith
  • Russell Investments
  • Time Warner
  • Kohl’s

On August 12, dedicated Red Cross volunteers from across the state worked at the gates, in the Agriculture Building, on the parade route and at other venues throughout the fairgrounds on Red Cross day. With their hard work, these volunteers ensured that everyone had a great experience at the fair.

Thank you for all your support. See you next year!
