| Red Cross Scales Down Tornado Relief Efforts |

![]() After four days of disaster relief efforts, the American Red Cross in Southeastern Wisconsin has scaled down operations in Eagle following the tornado that hit on June 21. The clean up items and water that the Red Cross was passing out are now available at the Eagle Fire Department. . Any individuals or families that need further Red Cross assistance may call 414-339-9562 to speak to a caseworker. More than 50 volunteers have responded to help since the tornado struck. Volunteers opened a reception center just hours after the tornado, and provided food, water and a place to sleep for 17 families at the Village Hall in Eagle. Since then, volunteers have been at the Village Hall, assisting workers and families with registration and providing meals and snacks to local residents. Red Cross workers have also gone into the community, distributing water and clean up items such as tarps, work gloves, clean up kits and garbage bags. In all, these dedicated volunteers provided more than 300 clean up items and 3,443 meals and snacks to families and workers. Mental Health and Health Services volunteers also talked to families and made sure that everyone was healthy and had a smile and a teddy bear.
