In conjunction with the grand opening of Chili Lili’s Chili Bar in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward, the restaurant will host a “Chili for Charity” event on Tuesday, July 27th. All day on Tuesday, July 27th a portion of the sale price of every chili entrée served at Chili Lili’s Chili Bar will go to support the American Red Cross in Southeastern Wisconsin.

“Chili is first and foremost a comfort food,” says Chili Lili’s owner Jay Schiek. “We felt that it was a great fit to support the Red Cross, an organization that provides comfort and support to people facing some of the most challenging situations you could possibly imagine.”

The realization of a long‐held dream, Schiek’s new venture, is a high‐energy, casual dining restaurant and bar. Chili Lili’s Chili Bar is located in the heart of downtown Milwaukee’s Third Ward at 525 E. Menomonee St., (in the former Holiday House space). Chili Lili’s Chili Bar offers up a variety of different, unusual and inventive chili creations on the Menu (pdf 490.43 Kb)---including a signature Cincinnati‐style chili, a Texas‐style chili and a spicy Buffalo Chicken chili. Other chili offerings available at lunch include a Vegetarian chili, a Spicy Pizza chili and a Southwest Roasted Corn Chicken chili. All can be ordered served over pasta, garlic bread or delicious homemade cornbread. Chili Lili’s Chili Bar serves lunch and dinner seven days a week and opens at 11 a.m.
