On February 9, 2011, the American Red Cross announced a partnership with Grand Geneva Timber Lodge Water Park, Lake Geneva, WI. As a new authorized provider of Red Cross lifeguard training, Timber Lodge Water Park is showing its commitment to building a healthier, safer community. Red Cross Lifeguarding skills keep people safe in, on and around the water. As an American Red Cross authorized provider, Timber Ridge is leveraging more than 90 years of lifesaving expertise and a brand that is trusted and recognized as being the premier health and safety training organization. Red Cross training materials incorporate the most current standards of care that meet OSHA Guidelines for First Aid and the Emergency Cardiovascular Care Guidelines. And because Red Cross training is standardized and recognized by national, state and local authorities, proof and validity of training can easily be provided to regulatory agencies. Lifeguards are trained in patron rescue and surveillance skills, first aid and CPR/AED (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation / Automatic External Defibrillator). Our 1st phase of staff instructor training took place in January, and will be completed with additional summer staff in June. The American Red Cross provides programs and services on a daily basis. We are the organization that teaches CPR, first aid and water safety. We train lifeguards and future babysitters. We are also the organization that provides emergency communication services to members of the armed forces and their families, and we respond to disasters. The American Red Cross in Southeastern Wisconsin serves people in Dodge, Jefferson, Kenosha, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Walworth, Waukesha and Washington Counties.
