Our hearts go out to the people of Japan, many of whom have lost loved ones, homes and livelihoods. Both the Japanese & American Red Cross are working together to provide relief. The Japanese Red Cross is a highly experienced disaster relief organization. They are currently providing medical assistance to survivors and have deployed 95 medical response teams with approximately 700 doctors, nurses and support staff. They are also providing assistance in affected areas through mobile medical clinics and assessing the damage and needs of the affected communities. The main humanitarian needs, i.e., food, drinking water, blankets, fuel and medical items, are also being mobilized to the affected areas. The American Red Cross is working in close contact with the Japanese Red Cross offering financial support and providing assistance as needed for the relief efforts. In addition, the American Red Cross has provided nearly 2,500 people in Hawaii and along the West Coast a safe place to stay during evacuation orders. If you would like to help with the efforts in Japan and the Pacific Tsunami, you can make a tax- deductible financial donation via one of the ways below:
Thank you for your generosity and support. We couldn't do it without you!
