What if you needed help and couldn’t give your medical information to emergency personnel? The Vial of Life program can help communicate when you can’t. Emergency personnel look for a magnet that says "Vial of Life" on your refrigerator, know your vial is inside and have access to your medical information instantly---even before you reach the hospital. Best of all, the program is free!

American Red Cross volunteers, the Police Chiefs and Fire Chiefs Associations and some Fire Departments will provide the vial, medical forms and identifying stickers. Rescue squads, police officers, fire department personnel and medical personnel can then easily access your medical history and family members' contact information during an emergency.
